Dr. Offig Lessons from the Dark Side-volume 1
Is compiled and is in the process of being edited by the incredibly talented Jake George. I am hoping for a preview of the front cover artwork any day now.
Should be out in print in a matter of weeks-and be in my eager hands by April. Which will mean a box-full of copies will travel with me to
Within its covers contains twenty five lessons. It is a much superior book, in my honest opinion, to my first one, which I admit was a bit inconsistent, and I enjoyed writing for the younger audience.
Volume 2 of Offig is slated for release by September, so that it can be promoted over Halloween.
Also in the pipeline for this year (hopefully) is the Further Accounts of the Imaginary friend. Which I am incredibly excited about, the stories in this collection are substantially longer- and I feel a damned more substantial- than what I have penned previously.
I am a month behind schedule from where I wanted to be on Glutonlump's Chilling Tales- but hope to be caught up by the end of the week. It is tough picking stories with just the right tone that I want. And it is even tougher sending out rejection slips, particularly when you enjoy the story but know it is a poor fit to my vision of the magazine. The whole project has been quite the eye-opener.
And if that isn't enough on my plate- I have just began the chapter synopsis breakdown of my first full-fledged novel. Which I promise will be the darkest and most intense work of mine to date. I am anticipating pushing my boundaries with this one folks -so much so that I actually endure pain and anguish as I relay the scenes unraveling in my head onto my computer. The plot has social-economic as well as horror undertones pulsing throughout it. I want to make the reader think as I submit them to psychological, unsettling, pulse-quickening terror.
Furthermore I am working on my first graphic novel- The Nefarious Plan- and I am thrilled to be working with the amazing Kevin Hurtack. I urge you all to check out his art at. http://www.eternalnightmare.com/ His images are truly bringing one of my most macabre stories vividly to life.
So if I seem a bit quiet at times- please understand why.
